Paul urges Christians to give their lives totally to the Lord just as an Israelite humbly presented his offering to the priest for his sins. The word “Blessed” in Hebrew and Greek suggests a state of delight. The words are often translated “happy.” The first word in Psalm one is “blessed.” The inspired writer points out that God considers one blessed because of the things one does and what one does not do. We will explore this fact in this lesson and learn how we can be considered blessed by our Lord.
