Paul looked upon his beatings as Jesus’ brand marks. As believers, we too must show our brand marks to the world. Can the world see that Jesus owns us? Let’s explore this?

The ministry of benevolence is one of the three ministries of the church. Evangelism and edification are the other two. We will look at benevolence for individual Christians as well as the church’s role in providing love and support for those in need within the guidelines of Scripture.

When we think about getting involved in the ministries of our church we may need to be informed in the biblical limitations of those ministries. This lesson focuses upon the three areas of ministry: evangelism, edification and benevolence. 

This lesson is a continuation of last week’s lesson with an emphasis on the work of the church and the leadership needed to see that evangelism, edification and benevolence are the focus of every member.

Paul expects the leaders of the church to provide members with training in various ministries in the church for the spiritual growth of all. This also includes teaching them so that they can teach others. This lesson will develop these points so that each member may see their value and usefulness in fulfilling the church’s mission. Ephesians 4:11-16
